Thanks to the Elantra’s hybrid status, both of the available trims offer over 50 miles per gallon on the highway. The base-model Elantra Blue gets 51 MPG in the city and 58 on the highway for a combined score of 54 MPG, while the Limited trim gets 49 MPG in the city and 52 on the highway for a combined score of 50 MPG.
Both trim options feature a four-cylinder hybrid inline engine with 104 horsepower and 109 lb.-ft. of torque, and the accompanying DOHC valve train has 16 valves and dual-variable valve timing. Each 2024 Elantra has front-wheel drive, an EcoShift six-speed dual-clutch transmission, and Normal, Smart, and Sport selectable driving modes.
