Getting Acquainted With the Eco-Friendly Performance of the 2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid

Unrivaled Hybrid Specs

Thanks to the Elantra’s hybrid status, both of the available trims offer over 50 miles per gallon on the highway. The base-model Elantra Blue gets 51 MPG in the city and 58 on the highway for a combined score of 54 MPG, while the Limited trim gets 49 MPG in the city and 52 on the highway for a combined score of 50 MPG.
Both trim options feature a four-cylinder hybrid inline engine with 104 horsepower and 109 lb.-ft. of torque, and the accompanying DOHC valve train has 16 valves and dual-variable valve timing. Each 2024 Elantra has front-wheel drive, an EcoShift six-speed dual-clutch transmission, and Normal, Smart, and Sport selectable driving modes. The Hyundai’s MacPherson Strut coil-spring front suspension, multi-link independent rear suspension, and unibody construction give the hybrid deft maneuvering and ample stability, no matter where you go.

Iconic Exterior Design

This year’s Elantra has undergone several stylish exterior upgrades, the focal point of which is the hybrid’s redesigned front fascia and cascading grille. For 2024, Hyundai chose a more low-profile design that includes stylized alloy wheels, an enhanced rear bumper and rear diffuser, seamlessly integrated headlights, and a shark-fin roof antenna.

The Elantra’s lighting includes dual-projector LED headlights with automatic functions, LED daytime lights, and standard taillight bulbs. The Elantra’s side-view mirrors have built-in heating functions and turn-signal indicators as standard features. The Hyundai Digital Key 2.0 program, which is a standard feature on the Limited trim, turns your smartphone into a key fob for easy access to your Elantra’s cabin.

Stylish and Cozy Cabin

All five of the occupants inside the Elantra Hybrid will sit on cloth surfaces in the Blue trim and H-tex leatherette surfaces in the Limited trim. With the higher trim, you receive an eight-way adjustable driver’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats, an integrated memory system for the front seats and side-view mirrors, and 60/40-split fold-down seating in the back, all as standard features.
Both of the 2024 Elantra trims come equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with built-in navigation. The Limited trim boasts a premium Bose eight-speaker audio system with a subwoofer and center channel. Both trims include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, and the Limited trim’s cabin is upgraded with Dynamic Voice Recognition software. Both Elantra models also come with a rearview monitor for parking guidance, built-in Wi-Fi-hotspot capabilities, the Bluelink+ Connected Car System, and Bluetooth.
