Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Hyundai Santa Cruz has several trim levels, each with different exterior features. The SE FWD and AWD models have 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, and body-color side mirrors. They include front and rear skid plates and have steps built into the rear bumper sides. The SEL FWD and AWD trims add heated side mirrors with LED turn signals and a hands-free intelligent liftgate. The Activity Package adds roof rails for additional storage.
The Night AWD trim has 20-inch dark alloy wheels, dark chrome touches, and glossy black side mirrors for a smooth look. The XRT AWD trim looks tough with 18-inch alloy wheels and orange middle caps, wider fenders, and all-terrain tires. It also has top side rails and matte black letters on the tailgate. The top Limited AWD trim makes the exterior even more visually appealing with 20-inch alloy wheels, luxurious dark chrome touches, and unique LED headlights.
Engine (Power)
The Santa Cruz offers you a choice of two engine choices for different power needs. The basic engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. You can choose a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque if you want even more power. These engines have great towing capacity, with the primary pulling up to 3,500 pounds and the turbo engine capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds.
Performance
The Santa Cruz performs well across all its trims. Some offer HTRAC all-wheel drive, which helps the truck grip the road in different conditions. The basic engine works with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The turbo engine uses an eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters that enhance driving fun. The Santa Cruz also has Drive Mode Select, allowing drivers to change how their vehicle performs in different driving situations.
Interior
Inside, the Santa Cruz mixes comfort and tech. The cabin seats five people with the option of leather trim for a luxurious feel. Front seats can be heated and cooled for comfort all year round. The truck's infotainment system has an ample 10.25-inch touchscreen for navigation with an optional 10.25-inch digital dash. Phones connect easily with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on models with an 8-inch touchscreen. A Bose sound system is available for music lovers.
