Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2024 SANTA FE comes in five trims, each with unique features. The SE trim is the base model, sporting 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, a hands-free smart liftgate, and body-colored heated side mirrors. The SEL adds roof rails and LED turn signal indicators to the side mirrors. The XRT trim looks elegant with dark finish 18-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, and gloss-black side mirror covers. The Limited trim exudes luxury with 20-inch wheels and a dual-pane sunroof. The top Calligraphy trim flaunts its style with 21-inch dark finish wheels and black anodized badging.
Engine (Power)
The 2024 SANTA FE is powered by a 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that generates 277 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. This engine offers plenty of power for everyday driving and light towing duties. The XRT trim can pull up to 4,500 pounds with trailer brakes, while the other trims have a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
Performance
Front-wheel drive is standard on all trims except the XRT, but you can opt for the HTRAC All Wheel Drive system, which provides better grip and stability in different driving conditions. All-wheel drive is standard on the XRT. All models use an eight-speed wet dual clutch transmission with SHIFTRONIC. Drive Mode Select allows you to change how the vehicle handles to suit your preferences or the road conditions. The Calligraphy all-wheel-drive model goes from zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds and does a quarter-mile in 14.8 seconds at 96 mph. It stops well, too, going from 70 to zero mph in 167 feet.
Interior
Inside, the SANTA FE is spacious and luxurious. Most trims fit up to seven people, but the Calligraphy trim comes with captain's seats in the second row, fitting six but adding a touch more class. There's a large 12.3-inch touchscreen on the dashboard, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster on higher trims. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on all models. You heated front seats are standard with the SEL and above, while the Limited and Calligraphy offer heated rear seats as well. The SANTA FE has plenty of headroom and legroom in all rows and provides 40.5 cubic feet of space behind the second row.
Safety Features
The 2024 SANTA FE offers a range of features that prioritize safety. All models have forward collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot collision warning, and lane-keeping Assist. Higher-end trims add highway driving assist and a surround-view monitor. The SUV performed well in IIHS crash tests, earning good scores in small overlap front and side crash tests.
